SHARE YOUR OWN TOAST OR TALE
One of the best-loved traditions of a Burns Night is the sharing of words and music—poems recited with gusto, songs lifted in harmony, stories told with twinkling eyes. The evening shines brightest when guests join in the fun, with a few short performances—poems, stories, or tunes shared by fellow guests in the spirit of Robert Burns himself.
How to Take Part
If you’d like to share something, we’re opening a handful of spots for guest performances. Pieces may be by Burns or simply in keeping with the night’s mood—folksy, funny, heartfelt, or beautifully told. You’re also welcome to bring along an instrument—guitar, violin, even bagpipes—for a musical contribution to the celebration.
Guidelines
Presentations should be no more than 3–4 minutes. We’ll have up to six guest slots during dinner. To keep the evening flowing, we ask that all participants submit their idea and content for review before the event.
